Community baseball Academy of Kansas City Teaching baseball and softball skills to inner-city youth.
Developing Major League POTENTIAL For Life!

The lack of sports-based programs and other activities for inner-city youth is a pressing issue. Research indicated that there is a positive correlation between athletic involvement and academic success. Being involved in sports gives young people positive outlets and opportunities to build relationships with peers and mentors in an environment that fosters cooperation, discipline, teamwork and self-respect. The CBAKC will use baseball and softball as tools to inspire, enlighten and motivate children, who live in communities without adequate parks and recreational facilities. In addition, the facility will provide fun and enjoyable athletic activities for them to learn and grow!

Be a Game Changer!!!

  • Students who participate in sports tend, on average, to perform better academically than their non-athletic peers.
  • There is a significant correlation between sports participation and higher rates of academic achievement and aspiration for individual students.
  • The increased attention from adults like coaches and teachers, team membership and interaction with educationally oriented peers, motivates kids to succeed.
  • Playing sports is an ideal school for life. The skills learned through baseball and softball help young people develop holistically. These skills are carried throughout adult life.
  • Be game changers with us! Your support can make a positive difference in these children’s lives.
